Evolv Nighthawk stretch

Looking for cheap-er shoes to trash, Evolv Nighthawks fit my feet reasonably well. But, they have leather uppers - some stretching will happen, just not sure how much.
Does anyone have personal experience with them? - how many sizes did they go up?

Evolv is synthetic materials only on all shoes, probably not much stretch going to happen.

(unless they stopped being vegan shoe of choice and my old partner didn't tell me.)

Damn, your partner will be disappointed :)

A true all-around climbing shoe, the Nighthawk is built on an all-new shape that fits beginners and advanced climbers alike. Unlined leather offers the maximum amount of comfort and ensures the shoe will mold to your foot. The synthetic overlay and lace closure system guarantees fit and performance in the gym and outside on the rock. The Trax® SAS outsole gives the best in friction and durability, so your shoes keep performing day in and day out.

But, I have no idea what the thing about synthetic overlays is supposed to mean, hence trying to dip into the well of wisdom that mproj is.

The black strips are the synthetic bits that shouldn't stretch much at all. However, you can expect quite a bit of give to the upper around the toes. How much they stretch depends on how much foot you're trying to cram in there. General rule of thumb is 1/2 to 1 size of stretch for leather shoes. I would size them fairly tight without being painful - i.e. with some knuckle curl but not anything crazy (they're a flat shoe after all, not a down turned aggressive beast).

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
