I just purchased 15 draws from trango; after doing a little bit more reading, im not too sure how I feel about them. The main reason I bought them is because the dog bone is 18cm. How bad did I screw up? Rather than buying BD or Mammut

The Phase is a lightweight and inexpensive carabiner that isn't too small either. I like it better than the comparable BD carabiners. You could pay twice as much for something nicer, but it wouldn't affect how hard you can climb.

Are you trying to only sport climb on them?

They're fine. I like the phase a lot.

One of my favorite all around quickdraws. Sure if your only climbing sport there are better (petzl spirit, djinn, etc) but for the price the phase can't be beat.

I’ve used those carabiners and draws on ice. A friend of mine sponsored by Trango. I liked them a lot. If you make a clip with gloves on then the Phases should be great on rock.

Basing your feeling on what you read or your experience with them?
I’d recommend using them and deciding what you think

Yes, I will be sport climbing almost 100 percent of the time with them.
Basing on what I read, they are coming in the mail so I haven't tried them out yet.

They will not be good for that man... you want the smooth draw from them
The 18cm dogbone will twist and back clip. Take a ziptie cut it to fit the gap between the Barack and the top biner and tape it shut.

The phase carabiners are definitely on the smaller side, so if you have large hands they might be fiddly to clip, but I have a few and have no issues with clipping. They are nice carabiners for a good price. Just practice clipping them a bunch and you'll get use to them if they're a bit small for you. The bonus about them is they're super light. The difference in weight between 12 of those and regular BD quickdraws is nearly a pound. I've also found the gates can get sticky fairly quick, so check the spring tension every now and then and lube them if they need it.

I have my cams racked with them and some alpine draws with them....I love them. I enjoy them far more than a bd neutrino

I use them for trad and ice climbing and I really like them. For sport climbing it's nice to have a draw with full size carabiners, a wider dogbone, and some sort of snag free gate on the bolt side carabiner (or on both carabiners) but the phase will work well enough.

They are fine, everyone has a favorite and will tell you that you should have gotten brand X draw but the Phase is fine and will work great. Don't get put off by peanut gallery. You did fine buying the Phase.

Had the phase quickdraws, raided the carabiners for some alpine draws. I've had no issues with them and find the carabiners totally adequate. Honestly for wire gates I typically go with the cheapest 'biners I can get, having more expensive wiregates isn't going to make me climb harder

I have 6 phase draws as part of my sport rack. I’ve always enjoyed them and I love how light they are, so much so that I think I might replace the rest of my draws with phases. I think they’d be great for most any climbing application, but they work great for me for sport
