Bouldering in Truckee / Lake Tahoe

Hey ya'll,

Just got to Truckee, where we'll be until mid August (me and the gf). Picked up the North Tahoe guidebook over the weekend, and had ourselves a nice sport day at Light Deprivation Buttress.

I have a car and am looking for a partner to boulder with, preferably in the North Tahoe area. Full disclosure: I suck a bouldering. I have very little bouldering experience. And I do not own a crash pad.

...but, I do sport and trad climb quite a bit, and I've been bouldered indoors a bunch, V5ish. Haven't prioritized bouldering outside in the last few years, but suddenly feeling the urge. Now that I'm working remote, would love to find someone who wants to crank after work (like mid afternoon, 3pm onwards).

Would also be open to multi-pitching if someone wants to learn. I'm no old crusty tradster, but I can show someone the ropes no pun intended...as long as the ropes are moderate trad haha.

Both those dates sound good, happy to climb sooner if you get the itch. Probably roping up tomorrow (7/28), it's time to climb...!

If anyone is around the afternoon of Saturday the 22nd I'd love to meet up. I'm coming up from Davis for the weekend. (Disclaimer: I'm more-or-less a noob and mostly climb indoors, but at about a V4 level.)

If you want to try bouldering, a nice spot I like is the memorial boulder, which sits in downtown Truckee. It's unique in the fact that there's pavement under the boulder.

I'm back on the east coast soaking up the only decent time of the year to climb in new england. Be back in november. Don't FA all the V2s while I'm gone thanks.

Hey gonna be up on donner summit this weekend and looking to climb friday, saturday and maybe sunday afternoon. Easy trad or sport up to 10a is pretty much what I'm looking for.
