Does anyone have a favorite brand or product that is  made by a smaller manufacturer that isn’t as mainstream as black diamond or metolius?

Tufa: The Mochilla is the best leader’s pack. Houdini is a badass chalk bag

Mountain Equipment: their clothing line is badass. Their Tupilak Packs are rad mid to large packs

Enlightened Equipment: well made affordable ultralight sleeping quilts. Particularly fond of the Accomplice two person quilt

Feathered Friends: everything is top notch. The Spoonbill and Vireo are specialist climbing bags that are awesome

Hyperlite Mountain Gear: the Dyneema Ice Pack will outlive you. Tarps. The Shell gets a lot of praise, but that pocket placement is dumb as hell

Runout Customs: portaledge and cam reslinging

Borah Gear: boutique custom two person bivy sack

NW Alpine: Salopette and Eyebright shell

Goosefeet Gear: in addition to their listed stuff, Ben will make you a custom down parka to your specifications

1. Jottnar - Climbing apparel.
2. Westcomb - Climbing apparel, everything made in Canada.
3. Atom Packs - Custom hiking/climbing packs made-to-order in England.
+1 for Alpine Luddites, as mentioned above.

Not small, but less popular in the US: Kong, Climbing Technology, Edelrid

ZPacks super light weight tents. I have a two-man from them that's like 20oz.

I would say FISH, but I don't big wall climb. But my friends that do love the portaledge, gear rack and haul bags.

I also like Yates gear, Misty Mountain, Jagged Edge and Noveske for uppers/lowers and Faxon for barrels(prefer the 20" bull) and Timney triggers & of course Magpul for stocks/mags.

Some good new finds for me in here. Thanks.

Happy to see some recommendations for NW Alpine.
Great people making great gear here in OR.

CiloGear is another local company with a cult-like following for their bags.

Would echo that Metolius is pretty small, especially in comparison to a company like BD.
