Hello, My fiancé and I are getting married at the end of Aug and are heading to Vegas for our mini honeymoon. We will be out near Red Rocks and wish to go climbing, but aware that it is going to be HOT out there. The plan is to wake up super early and go climb in shaded area. We will be there Aug 31 & Sept 1 to climb. What routes would you recommend? We are in the 5.7-5.10 range, sport or TR. Thank you! :)

Would Mt. Charleston be an option for you guys? It's at a higher elevation, so it'd be cooler

As long as your out by 9:30ish you can climb pretty much anywhere in Calico. After that even in the shade it’s still pretty hot and you will roast on the way back to the parking lot even on the shorter approach stuff

Specific shade wise though Civilization crag is like the poster child for a shady RR sport crag also if you catch the Black Corridor at the right time of day it’s awesome.

I've climbed several times in Red Rocks in August - if you climb in the shade, walk in very early when it's cooler and carry loads of water then it's fine (and I live in England so not used to desert heat!). And the advantage is no queuing for classic routes which happens other times of the year.
Routes I'd recommend are Crimson Chrysalis, Dark Shadows, Frogland (in the shade from early afternoon). They are trad routes though (you mention sport).

U can go to mountainproject.com/area/10…   mountainproject.com/area/10…,   mountainproject.com/area/10… early(various grades), they'll have shade til 10:30ish,  …for a super cruiser 2p sport climb in the shade(til 10:30ish), u could climb mountainproject.com/route/1… (5.7), then if you wanted more u could maybe head to mountainproject.com/area/10… which should have shade by then
or go climb limestone on mountainproject.com/area/10…

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
