Another vote for the OR Astroman.  I have 4 of them.  (So maybe that's 4 more votes?)

Thanks all. Given the strong response, I'll give the OR Astroman a try.

Earlier I tried out this Eddie Bauer shirt and although it just isn't stretchy enough for climbing, I really like it for day-to-day summer stuff and it's nice for biking.

Regarding the fit of the astroman:  medium fits me great, not snug nor baggy. Very stretchy and light, total freedom of movement.  I hate the harness lift-out too, and have not that issue with these shirts, they are long enough to stay tucked.  Also, stank factor: I’m always hesitant to where synth against my skin, maybe traumatized by long expeditions with capileene before I discovered merino.  But the astroman isn’t too bad.  I I mean I still want to wash it after a day of sweating in it, but at least I can wear it home without smelling like a wet dead dog rolled in rubber cement...

Hopefully I picked out colors that won't match you Daniel so we can avoid that "team sport" look we get out again. I opted for medium but hopefully on me it'll be just a "trim" fit as opposed to the underarmor/icebreaker fit which is somewhere just short of either wetsuit or leotard.

I have mixed feelings about the merino... I have a few pieces I love but several more that itch like a mother and I've had to return (when I can). It seems like a crap shoot whether my synthetics reek or merely smell. Rotating through a several pieces plus going sleeveless does sort of help...

Kühl Infinite is my sending shirt.  I also really like my Club Ride Simply West, it's more stretchy and breathable, but Kühl looks the best.

OR Echo hoody is awesome. I also have an exofficio button down that is long and stays tucked in to my harness.

I haven't climbed with it, mostly because I don't want to ruin it, but I love my Kuhl Renegade short sleeve button down collared shirt. SOOOO light, breathable, with a good amount of stretch. I've definitely considered wearing it climbing but I have so many ratty T shirts for that.

Skin cancer. Also, sunscreen is gross.

im a ginger, and i have two shirts I love for the sun. These ortovox wool don't stink, and are light enough to wear on a hot day. Also makes a nice looking base layer on hut trips. https://www.ortovox.com/us/shop/mountainwear-men/mountain-shirts/

Second, the Voormi sun shirt. Again, wool so it doesn't get the funk like the synthetic shirts on the market

going to vegas in Aug for work, so planning a trip to red rock, besides being selective of routes that we shaded.  thinking about clothing.  I've got an OR astroman, but short sleeves

The Aplenglow hoody would be perfect for Red Rock!  It works alright here in NC, but it really shined when I lived in Moab (it works better with dry air and no sweat).  The material is super light, which is great for staying cool but it can be fragile.  Be careful in anything bigger than a finger crack.  A chimney would absolutely destroy it.

Got my OR Astroman in the mail yesterday and gotta say it's nice. Good soft lightweight stretchy material and absolute freedom of movement. Sorta feels like a silk shirt that might actually breathe instead of stick to you when you start sweating. I am a little concerned about wear since it's so thin (will avoid chimneying in it I think!)

My only gripe so far is that I must have a rather thick neck as I can't imagine doing the top closure on the collar for too long, as it's a bit on the tight side (and it's not like I've got an Aleks type neck). I don't know maybe I'd get used to it?

You'll definitely want to skip neck day at the gym.

I heard they changed the fit of the Astroman, can anyone confirm or deny? They also eliminated the best color, although it looks like this year has a few options more interesting than dark blue and dark brown.

I found this shirt I like, the Kavu Boardwalk. Button-up, stretchy, good colors, pretty long cut. Unfortunately it looks to be the only shirt Kavu makes with stretch.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
