Looking for beta, particularly on recent snow conditions. Pics would be very helpful. Most interested in Avalanche Gulch, but other routes are appreciated, too.  Thanks!

Shasta avalanche center has good conditions beta

Also the Hotlum Wintun is a much much better ski descent in my opinion

Thanks for that.  I'd already checked the site though and it didn't have a ton of specific recent beta.  A guide had said it was pretty suncupped and people were doing the east face.

Ski season may largely be over unless you want to carry your skis. This year wasn't a particularly bomber snow year. I'd also recommend Hotlum Wintun for skiing, especially this time of year. Avalanche Gulch will surely be far from prime condition for enjoyable skiing.

This thread on TGR usually has pretty decent conditions beta as well.

Don't be discouraged by a small amount of dirt walking down low. It's fairly common this time of year.  Pack some tennis shoes for the dry hike and find them on the way down.  Stash your shoes somewhere VERY obvious (higher on the route than you might think is a good idea so you know you HAVE to ski by them on the way down - I've spent an hour searching for my shoes on Shasta before).

There's plenty of snow to ski if you don't mind a short dirt walk.

I climbed casaval and skied the west face over memorial day weekend and the snow was good up high, you have to carry skis to horse camp and maybe some more at this point but above 9000' or so you'll find snow! I would do it asap though before everything melts out with this warm weather. Good luck!

Thanks everyone for the excellent advice!  What do you guys know about the Clear Creek route on the east face?

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
