Hey everyone,

I am selling my custom built Promaster camper van - check out the website here: https://carl-the-van.squarespace.com

The van is located in Bishop, CA and currently listed on eBay for a deep discount.  Jump over to the website to get the eBay link.

Highlights

  • 2014 Ram Promaster 3500 159” High Roof 3.0L EcoDiesel
  • Purchased brand new from Ram dealership in May 2016
  • 49300 miles (Approx 3 years and 50k more miles remaining on drivetrain warranty)
  • 21-24 mpg average fuel economy on trips (driving style and wind dependent)
  • Off-grid “Single Fuel” camper - the van itself and stove/heater run on diesel from the main tank. The rest of the van is powered by electricity generated by the solar array and van alternator.
  • Beautiful custom bamboo woodwork throughout. The interior of this van is nicer than most houses.
  • Designed for full time living with separate sleeping/living areas and tons of storage.
  • Permanent short queen bed - avoid the hassle of setting up the bed every night and sleep in total comfort.
  • No bathroom - this van does not have a designated bathroom/shower area. The galley faucet is set up to double as an outdoor shower, and there is space to store a small cassette toilet if desired.

I have to say, this is a beautifully built van. I am in the process of building one right now and I can really appreciate the amount of time, effort, planning, and money that went into this. It is actually a really good deal for what you are offering. One of the nicer builds I have seen... this is a palace on wheels. Hopefully someone jumps on this. I have seen vans posted for $80K on this forum that really don't compare to what you are offering for $62K.

that is a really good deal on a nice build. It must pain you greatly to sell it. You might want to try the Sportsmobile forum to give some more press. A lot of eager van types there not just Sportsmobiles.

Any chance you'd part with your build plans, parts list, etc?

The van is sold.  Thanks everyone for the interest.

I don't have a full on parts list or plan for the van, but I did document some of the build over on promasterforum.com.   Many other people have as well, it is a great resource.

Regarding height, the clearance in the living area of this van is 6'4" and the crosswise bed is 6'2", so it accommodates me at 6'3" pretty well.
