Patagonia nano-air light pants alternative

Define super duper cold lol |

I just snagged a large after 2 months of trying when the random bursts of supply showed up on the page. order always got canceled until this time. if it is too big i will sell it to pick up a thermawrap. Keep looking on the patagonia page, as there are randomly small supplies of sizes that show up. |

If they made a well-fitting full length version of these, I'd be all over them. Basically the 3/4 length pant version of the Proton LT, a pretty badass/better Nano Air clone. 40d outer. As they are, they get mediocre reviews regarding their tight crotch |

You just pull them down. They're basically sweatpants. |

Has anybody found a good replacement at this point? Looks like the Nano Air and UL Thermawrap's are definitely gone. |

Take a look at the Mountain Equipment Kinesis Pant. It is very similar to the Outdoor Research Ascendant Hoody, or the Rab Alpha Flux, but for your legs. It has two zippered hand pockets, and two zippered thigh vents. I have a pair but have not had the opportunity to truly test them yet. |

I finally found a pair- two actually... Bought both to try sizes. Happy with the medium. |

The nano air light pants are making a return all nice and redesigned. Hopefully they are now workable with ski boots... |

For those that are interested the Nano air pants are indeed back. Looks like they won't be available till September 22nd but I think you can order them now. |

Arcteryx also released their take on active insulation with the proton pants. Similar to the nano airs, just a little more durable and slightly less breathable. |

If I am not mistaken these have 60g of full range not 40g like the nano-air light pants. This to me makes them less useful and a shame that the nano-air light regime seems to be fading at Patagonia. Thankfully there are alternatives from Arc, North Face, Montbell and others. |

That is interesting they have 60g now. They really don’t feel any thicker or warmer than the old ones. I’ll try and find both pairs and compare them. |

If anyone is looking for a cheaper alternative, look into the Mountain Equipment Kineses pant. I used them extensively last winter and have zero complaints. |
