What size should I get my La Sportiva Solutions?

So I wear a size 41 (8 in US) in my Scarpa Vapor V's but I'm looking to buy some La Sportiva Solutions. My Vapor V's were a perfect fit, I could wear them for about an hour before taking them off but they were still very snug because of the way it formed to my foot. I don't have the luxury of trying the Solutions on before purchasing them so I pretty much just have to take a guess. I was thinking about getting a size 40 or 40.5 (7.5 or 8 in US respectively). I like fairly tight shoes but I'm not too sure how much they will stretch. Anyone have suggestions?? Thanks!

You probably want either 39.5 or 40. I wear 41 in most scarpa and 40 in most sportiva, but 39.5 in the solutions/geniuses. It would help to see your sizes in other shoes besides the vapor v

Personally, I'd advise against buying any shoe you can't try on in person. If the Scarpas are a perfect fit, why not stay in-brand?

if your feet fit scarpa well (wider toebox) you'll probably have a hell of a time with solutions. they are just too narrow.

get a pair of instinct vs in the exact same size as the vapors. i have both and the instincts are vacuum sealed to my feet.

I'd say the exact same thing as Chris. I had vapors in 44 and they were a little too small. I just got instincts in 44.5 and they fit like socks. Amazing. So if you like your vapors go same size in instincts.

I've tried on solutions and all my toes were crushed except my big toe, which wasn't even touching the end of the shoe. I was actually surprised by how well the instincts fit because they have a similar asymmetry.

It may be different for you but either way I would go try on the shoes.

The reason I am asking about the sizing and not trying them on is because I'm in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for school and climbing isn't very popular here (I live in Atlanta where climbing is much more prominent) so there aren't really any stores to try on shoes. There is only one store and it offers one aggressive shoe and it's the La Sportiva Skwama  (which did not fit my foot at all). I did some research and saw that the Solutions are great and I found a good deal on them. I will definitely give the instincts a try though! Thanks guys!
