Gear Express

Has anyone ordered anything from gearexpress.com? It looks like they have some good deals but I’ve heard of some sites ende up being scams. Just want to check before I order anything. Thank you!

Definitely not a scam site.  I've ordered plenty of stuff from there and always got what I purchased with no issues whatsoever.

Been ordering from them for a couple of years. Definitely not a scam. 

It’s a good site with good deals. They’re really accommodating if you request specific colors of runners or whatever. Fast shipping and they always put a nice hand-written “thanks!” On the packing slip.

I've ordered from them at least once in the past.  Never had any problems, and I would not hesitate to order from them again.

They just can’t afford a fancy website because their prices are so good.    Totally legit.

I've ordered stuff from them twice over the last year and a half. No issues either time.

I've ordered a few times from them with no complaints. They have things not listed on their site as I recently found out during a sale they were running - might be worth giving them a call if you're trying to find a deal.

They are legitimate and a good place to get gear deals, but...  

My experience with them is that if something is out of stock, they don't remove items from being listed or show them as being out of stock and not able to be ordered. So after a bad experience with them waiting for items on backorder that the web site showed as in stock, I got into the habit of calling them on the phone to verify the items I wanted were in stock before ordering. 

Gear Express is a good site.  I once ordered a pair of quarks and what I thought was the correct hammer attachment for one of them but was for the older quark.  They caught it and contacted me to make sure that is what I wanted and told me they had the new hammer attachment in stock if that is what I wanted.

I think a majority of my climbing gear has come from that site.

I ordered from them. Big issue was the computer system incorrectly input the shipping address and the package was a bear to track down. Customer Service was mostly helpful, but didn't offer any compensation for their mistake. The email confirmation had the correct shipping info, but they used an "auto-fill" function that put in jibberish and couldn't be delivered. I had to drive to the post office where it was located in order to pick up. 

I order from them all the time.  Never had any issues.

I've ordered from them twice and have had no issues. Plus they have super fast shipping if you live on the west coast.

Count me as another who has used them without any problems.
