Hi, I will be moving to Prescott at the end of January. I am trying to find information about a Climbing community that I can contact, and be able to find and meet Climbing partners.!!!

Groom Creek is a great bouldering area in the warmer months. Sully's Canyon is a good little cragging area in the cooler months. A high percentage of students at Prescott College climb. Any of those place should net you some partners.

There is a Facebook group, Prescott Climbing Scene, that always has people looking for partners and such. Additionally, there is the Prescott Climbing Coalition which does rad projects like cleanups, trail work and climbing meetups every couple weeks. Last but not least, the Embry Riddle Mountain Club hosts climbing outings, clinics and operates a small bouldering wall on campus. Feel free to message any one of these Facebook pages and youll see there is an active climbing community here. Happy climbing

hang in there - a gym is opening up in a few months (construction is under way).  This is the step that Prescott has been waiting for in terms of bringing climbers together.  There is not really a "climbing community" as far as I've experienced, but there are plenty of climbers scattered around town.    Unfortunately the best climbing in Prescott is about to close for the next 6 months (GM) so this gym will be a relief and an excellent meet-up spot for us all to connect.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
