Come March, I have about 4 weeks to move north from Puerto Natales to Santiago.

Any beta on bouldering areas, partners, gyms in Chile?

I would love to know also!  I travel to the north frequently, and would love to make an extended trip to the south.

i mean, el chalten is really developed and i've heard of a few people going there just to boulder. very likely the weather is bad in the mountains and people are in town bouldering. if you wanna go to Argentina that is.

You can download a free pdf guidebook for selected bouldering spots in Chile here:  http://www.guiaescaladachile.com/2017/11/pdf-gratuito-guia-boulder-chile.html

The gyms in Chile I know are all in Santiago:  El Muro, Casa Boulder, Zenit, Bhanga, Mall Sport, Campus Climbing, and Los Silos.  Casa Boulder is popular but a little grungy, Zenit (my gym) is very small, El Muro and Mall Sport are the only I know with roped climbing.  Better to climb outdoors around Santiago if you can (El Arrayan, El Manzano/Las Palestras, trad climbing in el cajon de maipo).

Partners you can meet at the gyms or crags (El Arrayan is usually popular) if you speak Spanish.  There are usually a few people that speak English there as well

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
