Spray adhesive for tape gloves?
|
I've seen Pam Shanti Pack use spray adhesive to put her gloves on in alot of her videos. Tried doing a search in vain to find out what kind of spray she uses. Have seen a few other videos of others using it too including one were somebody just used it to put like 3 strips just on the back of their hand (seemed like a nice idea for those cracks that are thin hands will full gloves). Anybody know? |

This is what I use: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000F7QN22/ref=twister_B005QQFCA6?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 Works great for kneepads too. Old school types used to use tincture of benzoin, but that stuff is gross. |

Dang, J&J tape just about takes my skin off when I remove it. I couldn't imagine using adhesive! |

Cramer firm grip. Another option - tincture of benzoin will provide a firmer grip, with a little less sticky mess, and seems cheaper at the end of the day. However, firm grip is really useful for tape spraying on pads. I don't see either one keeping a few individual strips of tape down, you'll probably still have to do some form of wrapping. |

A cigarette lighter heating the tape after it's wrapped around your mitts, then pressing it down till it cools. Of course don't burn yourself... though burning off your hair before the tape, stinks, but helps sticking as well. |

The pre-spray adhesive is typically applied by trainers and physical therapists whenever I have been taped by them. It helps keep the tape in place for extended periods. So if you are doing a big wall or want the tape to stay in place for a couple of days, I would use it. If you are just doing it for a single day, I would skip it. |

I disagree. Having a tape glove that isn't sloppy and baggy is the only tape glove worth making imo. I have never been able to get that to happen without tape spray, no matter the taping method. Tape seems to not stick very well to my skin compared to most people though, so ymmv. Also, I couldn't imagine wearing gloves overnight/multiple days.. |
