Solution Male vs Female Sizing

Hi guys,

Anyone have experience with both female + male La Sportiva Solutions?

I'm looking to get the womens as they have a thinner sole -> more sensitive. I was only able to try on the mens shoe for size, would I be the same size in the womens?

No. It will be like a completely different shoe. I would go try some on or at least check out SizeSquirrel. Almost any climbing shop will have them

No climbing shops here have them. I'm in Eastern Canada. They don't have the 40.5 at least, largest is 38 there.
Checked on SizeSquirrel, it says the same size or half size lower. Looking for some more input.

Thank you! I definitely want the pink ones! I've heard the sizing is the same / extremely similar. Just covering my bases!

If it is just the thickness of the rubber you are after the Scarpa Vapor V (they also make a LV/Womens) has the same 4mm thickness as the Solution and if you really want to destroy your big toe go with the instinct VS with the 3mm rubber.

My buddy said that the thinner rubber made his women's feel like they stretched more than mens. He is the same in both and said he'd drop a half size in women's. Worth noting that he's Asian, which correlates to lower foot volume than the average white male

I have both, prefer the women's due to heel shape and went down 1/2 size
