Stuck cam lobe (fixe alien)

UPDATE: after cleaning the cam in boiling water, the lobe only sticks when the trigger is pulled COMPLETELY back.  then if I bump the wire it will snap back into place.  Now I am just trying to get the last bit of action back.

One year old cam, I had just a little trouble getting it out of a knobby crack.

At around 15% the lobe starts to resist the trigger a bit. Then if I pull it further, the lobe doesn't return. I tried some borrowed cam lube and it didn't seem to make a difference.

any suggestions?

Check that the trigger wire of the adjacent lobe isn't interfering with the return action of the lobe in question.

edit: in the first photo, the far right lobe.

I see why you'd think that from the photo, but it clears it pretty easily.  All the remaining lobes snap back nicely and the wire of the outside lobe immediately backs off the stuck lobe when the trigger is released.

OK then it could be a couple other things.

1: The lobe might have a little burr on it's edge. Which hooks up on the adjacent lobe. Just file off the burr.

2: The axle has shifted to one side, binding the lobes. Hold the cam like a little hammer and lightly smack axle end onto a surface.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
