Hoping for some tips to make lugging my ledge a little easier/more manageable on longer approaches. I was thinking about making some kind of removable shoulder strap. Thanks ahead of time.

How...how did that not cross my mind?

Or strap it to the top of the bag if the bag is full. Either way your hike is going to suck.

Just like other heavy awkward stuff ( e.g., the rope, rack, water, etc.), get your partner to carry it.

Put it in the center of your biggest bag and pack around it. Never put it on top like suggested. Unless you like catching every branch known to man on the trail.

Yeah, stuff it into your haul bag.

You could try the over-the-shoulder technique

On top of your neck like a yolk works pretty well once you get it to balance

Attachable wheels

though seriously, Plaidman brings a wheelbarrow to yosemite every time he comes through to carry his stuff. I've yet to see how that's anything but more work but he swears by it.

If you got two people, one bag and one ledge, have one person carry the bag.  Then the other guy can backpack coil the rope and tie it over the portaledge orientated vertically on his back.  Basically strap the ledge to himself.
