Tall Guy Tents

So I just got back from checking out the three Hilleberg solo tents, and well... I don't fit. My damn feet or head or both hit the end/head yellow wall on each.

What 4 season tents are the taller people using? I fit fine in the tunnel tents, which might be something I need to just deal with, no free standing or similar tents that are big enough...

How tall are we talking?  I'm 6'2" and don't fit most tents, I found an old BD lighthouse that has been my go-to for the past few years.   It's basically the Hilight tent, but longer.

This is good, I don't know how many seasons I have left in the lighthouse.   I'd be pumped to hear of any current models for tall kids that still ring in under 5lbs.

I am 6'3" and fit well in the Sierra Designs Convert 2. It's a single wall tent and held up in a VERY windy storm on a Mt. Rainier ridge at 10,000 ft. It is 87" long.

Same here: For the lightweight 4 alpine tents, I basically only fit the old BD lighthouse as well, and have been using that for many years (6'2"). I'm not sure what I'll go to when that breaks down.

Edit: recently I used a Camp Minima 2SL, and fit in that well. It's a hoop tent and more of a pain to set up, but is lightweight, packable, and taller folks fit.

You can just stick your feet in the vestibule.

Thanks for the tips, that sierras design tent looks awesome. I'm not overly tall, 6'2" and use a tarptent cloudburst for 1-2 person backpacking and fit great, but don't think it'll be warm enough for winter.... I guess I'll find out.

Also heard that the new Brooks Range Alpini 2P tent might accommodate taller folks. Here's a link to an image, there isn't much info available yet.

I have a MH EV2 as well.  80" long is perfect for me.  I'm 6'-6" and just fit.
