Suggestions on moving to Franklin, TN or surrounding areas (where to live?)

Help! I'm moving from Denver, CO to Franklin, TN in 2 weeks and need a place to live. Any advice about the area/apartments or if any climbers have any rooms available, please let me know. I don't need to be in Franklin. I'm looking in a 30 minute driving radius.

Also, I'm a 30 year old, professional working woman. I mostly enjoy sport or bouldering, and I've followed up my fair share of trad routes.

Stay away from Nashville traffic.

I work about 4 miles north of downtown Franklin, and would recommend living south of Franklin unless you like spending lots of time in traffic. Case in point, this Friday it took me 1h45mn to drive 20 miles from work to east Nashville (from 4:30 to 6:15). I live 35 miles south east of my work and it usually takes me between 30 to 45 minutes to get to and from work (using I24, I840, and I65).

Let me know if you have specific questions.

I lived in the Boro for a little over a year and my wife worked in Lebanon. If I was employed in Franklin I would definitely live in Murfreesboro or some other south of Nashville suburb like Thierry has recommended. You're a bit closer to climbing there too. Short Mountain is just up the road and you can be at fosters or other plateau crag 30 minutes quicker. 

Definitely good to know. Would this probably apply to Hermitage? I'm also looking at driving times for the Red, Chatty, OBED, and Asheville.And of course nearby crags, so thanks for the tips!

Hermitage is north east of Nashville. You will have to pass Nashville to get to Franklin. Unless you're on nightshift, I would imagine you'd get big commute hassles coming and going.

Google Maps is pretty accurate with travel times given departure, destination, and departure time and day to figure out commute time. 

from Murfreesboro: Foster:1h15mn , TWall: 2h, Sunset:1.5h-2h Obed: 2h, Red: 4.5h-5h, Little Rock City: 2h. But depending on you lifestyle, I don't know if I'd recommend Murfreesboro.

I live in Hermitage, my work is mostly out of town so when I am home I can set my own schedule to dodge traffic. For me to get to Climb Nashville's West gym it takes about 40 minutes at 9:50 AM. At 8:30 AM it takes over an hour. Same with coming back from the gym, if I can be headed out before 3 it saves me a chunk of time compared to anytime between 3-6 PM. For me the trade off is cheaper housing and being closer to the airport. 

Hermitage gets you a little closer to the stuff on the east side of the state. But the closest wall to Nashville Metro is Kings Bluff, west on 24 in Clarksville, the routes aren't musch but it is an easy hike in and not too far from town.  

Awesome, thank you guys! I think for my sanity I'll stick relatively close to Franklin and I'll look more in Murfreesboro. Looks like a good option.

There is a gym in Franklin called The Crag, pretty cool place.

Also if you're looking to stay in the Murfreesboro area look into Monterey crag and the obed (obed is actually on here), from Murfreesboro it will be roughly the same travel time to Monterey Crag since you can avoid a lot of traffic. The obed is a little farther but has some great climbing and should definitely be on your last of TN places to climb.  Also Murfreesboro will put you in s good location to go to chattanooga and foster falls,  there is a lot of areas about 60 or so miles east of Murfreesboro
