Advice for training/keeping fit while living on a sailboat?!?
I'm about to set off on a voyage across the Pacific Ocean, for 25+ days on a 46ft sailboat with my family! I'm super stoked, but I don't want to get to the other side of the Pacific and be so out of climbing shape that I can't sample some of the alleged DWS in the Marquesas! |

Get a hangboard you can take with you and hang from anything |
If you can't find a place to mount a hangboard, your not trying hard enough. |
Hang off the edge of the deck and traverse the boat. |
Rock rings are pretty easy to hang up without drilling into anything. |
Are you sailing or just planning on lying in a hammock all the way? |
A few different weights of thera-bands or the like might not be a bad idea if space is a concern. |

So there’s keeping fit in general, and keeping fit for climbing. The two aren’t exactly mutually exclusive, but you’d be kidding yourself if you think you can just do a bunch of general fitness exercises without any climbing specific training for a month, and be able to maintain your climbing fitness. |

Completely unrelated but if you haven't read Joshua Slocum's Sailing Around the World Alone it would be a fun time to do that. |
