Anyone have experience with camping in LV during the winter months, the closer to the falls the better. A quick Google search brings up "Big Bend Campground" off the power plant road and another one "Moraine Campground" just before. Are these summer sites only? Any help would be appreciated.
Just bivy in your car in the parking lot. Does not get closer to the falls than that. Or if you are feeling ambitious, you can hike in an bivy below the falls themselves!
To Answer your question, yes summer campgrounds only and under snow now. There is plenty of opportunities to park though. Just stay out of the way of snow removal equipment and the plant employees.
