Salewa Approach Shoe Sizing

Looking at getting Salewa Firetail EVO mid gtx's. I wear a sz. 8US in 5.10 Guide Tennies. Anyone know what the sizing on Salewa's is like? Thanks!

in my experience salewa's fit true to size. unless you want a really snug fit for easy climbing, I wouldn't downsize them.

For what it's worth my 44.5 Firetrails run a bit bigger, mostly in length, than 44.5 Sportiva Xplorers. Great shoes though.

My Salewa Wild Fire GTX fit true to size. 10.5 street equaled 10.5 approach. Downsize a half size if you want more of a climbing shoe fit. Mine are slightly snug with a wool sock.

Not sure if it's too late to be helpful, but I have a 10.5-ish street size and I wear the Wildfire Pro in a 10 and the Guide Tennie in a 9.5. They fit about the same in length, but the Guide Tennies are wider. I would size down a half size from street for Salewa approach shoes.

Thanks everyone! I got a pair of the gortex low tops and they fit great. I was an 8 in the Guide Tennie and the 8.5 fits perfect in the Salewa.
