Dr. Julian Saunders in Australia used to do videocon consults on climber injuries.  I don't know if he still does, but I thought he was worth the money.  He has written a column on climber injuries for Rock & Ice for a long time.

Hi everyone,

It has been a while since I have posted about my injury and that is simply due to not identifying a solution/answer to my pain. At this point, I have tried everything that has been suggested in this thread and even continued going to PT for manual therapy and exercises.

The one thing I have not explored and committed to was Nerve Gliding. Has anyone had any luck or benefits from focusing on the nerves? See link for more info: https://theclimbingdoctor.com/rock-climbing-injury-tips-nerve-mobility/

Sorry nothing has helped you so far.

Somebody just told me about the amazing results they have had with various injuries with a massage technique called ART - active release technique.  You have to be certified to do it -  if you do a google search for ART massage, it comes up with practitioners in your location.

I get a lot of deep tissue massage and also shiatsu massage.  Whenever I have pain or mobility issues related to injury, both of these disciplines have helped me.  More importantly, as I have a number of age related degenerative neck and back issues, this is the only thing that keeps me mobile and relatively pain free.  It sometimes takes a while to find really good practitioners (there's a lot of mediocre people working out there), but maybe this route would give you some benefit.

Is the pain/discomfort nervy? I have not focused directly on the nerves but will check out your link in more detail.

For my body, almost everything comes down to trigger points. The exercises upthread have fixed me a lot in the past but if I have elbow problems now I'm just too lazy and go to trigger point work AND adjusting (cracking) my elbow, which once it releases is immediate relief. But before I can get it to move I have to work on the trigger points first. I believe most chiropractors can adjust your elbow or look up youtube videos how to do it yourself. I have my own ways that I've not seen online, one way was taught to me by a chiro 25 years ago.

If you're not familiar with trigger points there's a lot online or start with this book: https://www.amazon.com/Trigger-Point-Therapy-Workbook-Self-Treatment/dp/1608824942/ref=sr_1_2?crid=W467574FJTNX&dchild=1&keywords=trigger+point+workbook+3rd+edition&qid=1606496140&sprefix=trigger+point+work%2Caps%2C226&sr=8-2

I recommend the 2nd edition just because of the introduction that is excluded in the later edition and you might find the 2nd for just a couple dollars. The book won't get you all the way there on your specific issue and you'll have to improvise a bit. Get some tools, lacrosse ball etc., and go deep, both above (triceps, shoulder, pecs) and below the elbow. Also check out Kelly Starret/MWOD videos on youtube.
