Woody size

What are the dimensions of your woody; either your erected woody or the space you anticipate to be occupied/filled by a woody? Alright, I got the innuendos out the way… |

Seth, I have this wall and three other walls that I can set aside for future woody. I have also built 4 or 5 other home wall over the past 15-years, but I've got a wild hair to develop a Moonboard designed to fit in the average American home wall space (see the thread linked below). I realize that this space alone would be a great home wall. |

I built this one in 2005 in the basement of a house I was renting. Ceiling was something like 7'6". I had a 1 inch gap between the top of the framing and the ceiling. The whole woody was a freestanding box with 2 sides paneled, 16 feet long and about 9 feet deep. It took up nearly the entire room, except for the bar/drinking area at one end. |

I currently have 18ft wide and 12ft high, with the last 4 being roof. 2 feet of cracks right in the middle of the 18. |

7.5 ft tall, 8 ft wide 30 degrees off vertical. Too small imo |

Mine is an 25' wide by 15' tall on a 25 degree angle next to a 4' wide campus board of the same height. I started with an 8' wide by 8' tall wall on a 35 degree angle, and it was fairly small for my liking. If I was to make another smaller wall I would either go with a moon board or make the whole thing a 45 degree wall. Good luck to you! |
