My partner has a new Zenith. Climbed on it twice so far and really like it. Light to carry, easy to handle, and the dry treatment is very good (climbed ice on a wet day and the rope stayed very dry).

Wasn't aware it was a dry rope, thanks for the info i can get a zenith for a decent price so i think i will be going for one, was it particularly stiff in hand? I know the booster is not the nicest handling rope and i was wondering if it shared similar properties.

No I thought it handled really well.

Any further impressions on the zenith? I found a good price on one and was thinking of picking it up.

It followed the same theme as all Beal ropes I had, terrible durability.

Karma is a decent rope but mine wore down quite quickly. Though other cheaper ropes have usually been the same.

The sheath doesn't feel dense. Instead it feels soft and gets fuzzy pretty easily.

I've used other beal ropes as well of which  the zonsi ( store brand model) lasted longest. It doesn't feel any thicker. instead it seems denser and the sheat hasn't gone fuzzy as quickly. The rope is at most average in every other aspect.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
