Local gear shops

I live near Tacoma, travel to Seattle often. I am looking for a great gear shop, locally owned. Im a total gear whore, mostly rock climbing and I spend often at REI and backcountry, but also want to support local whenever possible. Where am I headed in your opinions. Add Portland as well if worth a pit stop while passing through.

Feathered Friends in Seattle. There also used to be (still is?) a place up in the U District near Ravenna.

EDIT: The place in the U District is Pro Mountain Sports. Guy there was super cool.
