Hi!

We are in Grand Teton National Park and would like to do some sport climbing. We climb 10s and 11s. Can you please recommend us where to climb? Is there any guide book for sport climbing in the park?

There is no such climbing in the park ... Hoback Shield probably has the biggest concentration and easiest access: mountainproject.com/v/hobac…

There is also Rodeo Wall: mountainproject.com/v/rodeo…

Not in the park, per se, but near is Teton Village. Climbing from the Tram or at Rock Springs Buttress.

Rock Climbing Jackson Hole and Pinedale by Wesley Gooch has good info on routes in the area. Out of print but might be available at Moosely Seconds in Moose or Teton Mountaineering in Jackson. AAC Climbers' Ranch might have a copy to peruse as well. Folks who work/hang out there are a great source of local beta.

There's some 10's and 11's at blacktail butte. It also has the best view of any sport crag I've ever been to which makes up for the somewhat greasy nature of some of the routes.

The people here saying there is not sport climbing in the park are mostly right though, in that there is no sport climbing in the Teton Range proper.

What is that wall on the right of the road as you are heading north out of town. I forget where exactly it is but maybe somewhere between the Kelly Junction and Antelope Flats? Super close to the road with probably only a handful of routes on it.

^^ I think it's BlackTail Butte. Also, Hoback Junction may be closed due to fires.

Thank you!

Does anyone know anything about bouldering in the area? is there a guidebook for it? The mountainproject beta is pretty sparse for the region. Jenny Lake has some good stuff right?

Look imrto the Jenny Lake Boulders--John Gill has some routes. Check with the Jenny Lake Rangers. Blacktail Butte jas some good routes--just N of Moose Jct
