Headed up to Independence Pass for the weekend for some climbing. I am leaving after work Friday and may arrive in the area after dark.
It is my understanding that there is U.S Forest Land dispersed camping near Twin Lakes? I am coming from the Springs so I was hoping to crash on that sideof the pass.
Anyone have some beta on some spots? I am pretty much wondering where to turn off 82 so I am not driving around aimlessly in the dark.

That's probably a better beta. Driving up 24 on Friday night will be both annoying to yourself & people camped off the road. The free camping are along a 1 lane dirt road w/ few spots to turn around & not all that smooth.

Yeah this is a great spot but as with all things CO these days is now swamped with people. This used to be one of my fav little hidden camping spots and I don't even go there anymore...sad
Its ridiculous. But hey im glad people are getting outside. I had to give my weekends to RMNP a break. I was hoping to find a little more solitude this weekend.
