Broke my tib fib last January, got an infection and had multiple surgeries/grafts since. Im about 30% weight bearing at the moment. My ankle is pretty locked up from the lack of stimulation and use. Anybody recommend a good therapist that is familiar with climbing (crack) and the range of motion that is required?
I may have posted about this before but can't find it while using the mobile app.
Sorry to hear about your injuries. I've shattered and re-fractured my left kneecap and put a small fracture in my right(recently). I've attended 4 different PT providers (Michigan and UT), including the UofU ortho clinic in Salt Lake - up on Wankara Way. The therapists were knowledgable, had a decent understanding of climbing mechanics, but the facility was severely lacking in equipment and they tended to just tell you what to do and cut you loose as opposed to working with you through the exercises. I've attended much better places (UoM - Domino Farms). I've had good luck in the past with searching out an ortho/sports medicine dedicated place, one that works with a lot of athletes. Hope this helps. Good luck.
I had excellent results with Don Hansen Physical Therapy in Draper. He was able to prevent frozen shoulder and resultant surgery in me and did the rehab for my wife's double knee replacement. He does a lot of work with injured and wounded veterans and he also does home visits.
