Climbing Gym Las Cruces
|
This is a question for those in Las Cruces, NM and El Paso, TX and people familiar with the surrounding area. |
|
It's been many years since I lived in LC, but when I did, there was an absolute dearth of climbers. Unless things have really changed a lot, I wouldn't expect a gym to do well. But you never know. I always ran into more El Paso and Albq climbers than anything else... |

I am assuming you are aware of this little gym at NMSU? |

I'm currently researching market interest and business models. Ive made it a goal to open one here. I don't have anything solid yet, but am willing to share collaborate. Pm me. |

I'm moving out there for medical school in the fall. A new medical school just opened up out there last year, so a lot of new students will be headed that way. I know of myself and a handful of other students who are climbers and we are wondering where we are going to climb. I would 100% love to see a climbing gym pop up there. I believe that I will do really well, for some reason doctors love to climb LOL. |

Anthony and Ian, I'm sending you guys a PM shortly. Watch out for it! |

The best climbing gym in the LC area is, of course, the Organs. Doesn't get any better than that. It does get taller, though. |

Just moved to the area and would love to see a small bouldering gym for after-work sessions. Also, anyone looking for a weekend climbing partner: let me know. -Ken |
