Rock Ring Workout

So I just bought a pair of Metolius rock rings and have been doing the 10 minute workout they have on their website. It seems like a good workout to get fingers moving for a little bit and to engage the core a bit as well. Does anybody have tips on more of a full body workout that incorporates the rock rings? I don't want to overdo it with my fingers and injure them so I want to focus on other areas too. I could probably figure something out myself but I want to hear what other people do with them. There's gotta be so many different ways you can use those rock rings!

EXTEND them to a few inches above the floor and do pushups..., or to chest height and do dips...
put your feet over them with your hands on the floor (or yoga ball), (in a plank position) and bring your knees to your chest... straight and to the sides (work obliques).
reverse planks..muscleups... find something the height of them,,, hook your heels on it (reverse plank with your feet supported) and do "row" style pull ups.
elevator pull ups, one arms hangs... staggered (vertically with one ring a foot higher than the other) pull ups.
basically//..... get creative.

So are they working like TRX rings for you? I was debating buying some. Winter, you know? Pain in the ass.

Yeah they've been good! I used some old webbing and bought a couple buckles.. The buckles ended up actually not doing anything but the adjustability is what I was going for. That way you can customize them to be perfectly even or at whatever height you want. I'd recommend them! In fact I saw them on Steep and Cheap a week or two ago.. Keep an eye out

Mark Anderson has a couple of gymnastic ring work outs on his blog that I like a lot.

You can easily perform them on rock rings as well. The "wing" is a great workout for your shoulders, and I discovered that one of my shoulder is a lot weaker than the other one. The "ab roll out" is great for your abs and shoulders. I used to do them with ab rollers, but with the rings I can add a little twist now:
1. roll out to a fully extended position with arms above your hand (like superman flying);
2. with your arms still fully extended and body in a horizontal position, bring the rings 90-degree to the side so now you're in the form of a horizontal cross;
3. still keeping your arms extended, squeeze your pecs and bring the rings in front of you (into a plank position);
4. roll back to starting position from the plank position.

This works your abs, shoulders, and chest. Not exactly climbing specific (unless for compression moves), but it's hell of a workout.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
