Hey MPers, I wanted to officially reach out to all of you and invite you to a special event in Denver on August 10th at Ophelia’s Electric Soapbox called ClusterFunk!
It’s a fundraiser that my buddy's organization the Seeds of Change Foundation (www.socfusa.org/events) is throwing to help raise funds for the earthquake victims in Nepal. They’re going to have Atomga, the awesome Denver based 10-piece funk band, play an exclusive show. They’re killer. Food and drinks are included, and if you haven’t been to Ophelia’s yet, you’ll really love it. Awesome atmosphere.
Seeds of Change is working to provide clean water, fresh food, community kitchens, shelter, and disease prevention supplies (such as composting toilets) to one of the most beautiful culturally rich and wondrous parts of the world in the wake of the recent disaster. 100% of the money raised will go directly toward the purchase of relief resources - a direct impact!
Hey Kevin, I am working with a front range non-profit called the Himalayan Development Foundation. We are sending three teams of volunteers to help rebuild Chhulemu, Nepal (Karma Sherpa's village. Many of you might know Karma) We are looking for supporters to help us purchase building materials and pay for the transportation of those materials to the village.
I was wondering if you know the people at Seeds of change and could put me in contact with them? We'd like to see if they would partner with us so that we can complete our mission.
As for everyone else, Please visit our webpage to read about our mission to rebuild Chhulemu and the other projects that we have going in in the region.
