6 years now I have been dealing with severe medial elbow tendonosis/tendinitis/tendonopathy in both elbows. 6 months ago it became debilitating. Basic daily activities became extremely difficult and painful. Lost full range of motion. I'm also a photographer and I wasn't able to hold or lift my cameras.
I've done: • PT for many months • Acupuncture • massage
I recently had the Tenex procedure done on my left elbow
I am 8 weeks out from having the Tenex procedure done and, although my doctor says he is happy with the results, I am still very much in pain and still can not do any activities I enjoy.
My daily activities are limited also. I feel that I've recovered from the procedure and have my ROM back but not recovered from the injury.
My body is simply not healing the injury.
I explained to my doctor that time is running out for me now and that I need to be aggressive about this so we agreed to do a PRP injection. He says I only need one but I am going to push to have at least two injections done for good measure.
I'm having the injection done on Tuesday so I'll keep you posted.
Once I find a recipe that works for my left arm, I am going to do the same for my right arm. I'm probably looking at at least another years of procedures, injections, and recovery.
If none of this works then I'll have surgery and just cut this stuff out of my body once and for all.
I really have nothing to lose at this point except time. The quality of my life has seriously plummeted since I can't do anything with my arms.
