I'm heading to San Diego for the weekend. Where is the best beach front bouldering in the San Diego area?

Cheers,

Hey Lukas, I've done a little bouldering in the la jolla cove area both north and south of the people's wall (long man made cobble stone wall). Pretty fragile and sandy sandstone, I never used shoes or chalk (don't think the locals would appreciate the chalk ). Nothing too notable that far south on the coast, I feel like a trip to Woodson or something is more worthwhile if you want to get some good local climbing in. If you just wanting a day to chill on the beach and mess around it'd be worth it though.

There really isn't that much. Some in La Jolla, but So Cal does not really have a lot of beach bouldering sadly. The one exception is Pirate's Cove, aka The Beach in Corona del Mar (not close to San Diego). Don't hit it on a weekend though. Way too crowded.

Thanks for the information. I'll just beach bum it and get some drinks.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
