Where do you see this? I see the standard cash back rates. Thanks!

hmm guess it was an offer to people who had recently gotten a bunch of cash back? It isn't everywhere but about 40 retailers are 15% off

Campsaver.com has all their Botura shoes on sale!  I picked up a pair of Alturas for $109.99!  They probably have other good deals right now, but that's all I looked at.

FYI, that's the previous version of the Photon, not the new 2017 version with the improved nose, in case it matters to someone.  Still a good deal.

Ah, looking more closely just at the Alturas I see that not all sizes are on sale and the discount varies based on size.  That's gotta be one of the only times my shoes size has been the cheapest.

FYI - I made a purchase from Moosejaw that was eligible for 15% cash back from Active Junky 3 days ago. I've used AJ for a couple of years and it is amazing, but in this case the retailer did not have record of my purchase coming through the AJ website and thus they did not pay out the 15% cash back. I'm out almost $30, but I figured my loss could prevent others the same fate. The following are potential reasons that retailers will not pay out cash back as per Active Junky customer support:

We realize that this might be frustrating but please understand this may have happened for a couple reasons:

  1. You tried to use multiple discounts from multiple different websites before completing the purchase.

  2. You clicked on the website of another affiliate marketing site after clicking on Active Junky which negated our tracking.

  3. You spoke with customer service online or over the phone which gives a bonus to the rep and negates our tracking

  4. You used an unapproved coupon code found on another website which subsequently credited that website for the purchase.

  5. You clicked on a link from a retailer or affiliate marketing email.

  6. You used a gift card

  7. You used ad blocking software which may result in issues receiving Cash Back. Please disable your ad blocking software temporarily during your shopping sessions to properly earn Cash Back.

Of these 7 possibilities I may have had my ad blocker active at the time...not 100% sure. Also there were previous coupon codes applied in the cart that I had tried out a few weeks before the 15% cash back offer last week. However I removed those from the cart before I ordered. As AJ customer support pointed out if you don't get your cash, it is because they didn't get paid either. Hope this helps others get the money back they were expecting.

I have from time to time ran into this problem. Now right before I make a purchase, I make sure I open a new "incognito" window, log in to AJ, and click through to the retailer. It helps when you have an account with the retailer so you can save your shopping cart by logging in. This seems to work 100% of the time now.

STERLING Fusion Photon 7.8mm x 70M Dry Rope, Yellow

Just picked up one of these from EMS.  Also use their promo code FALL20 for 20% off the sale price and you can get 10% cash back from Active Junky right now.

Total cost after cash back ends up being about $100

50% Off Mountain Hardwear Hueco 35 Daypack - REI Garage

Thanks! Opinions between this deal and this one at Steep and Cheap? https://www.steepandcheap.com/mountain-hardwear-limited-scrambler-30-outdry-backpack-1805cu-in?skid=MHW00X3-BAD-REG&ti=U2VhcmNoIFJlc3VsdHM6bW91bnRhaW4gaGFyZHdlYXIgcGFjazoxOjE6bW91bnRhaW4gaGFyZHdlYXIgcGFjaw==

especially for multi-pitch rock climbing, and Secondarily for snow shoeing, and winter sports?

I own a bunch of MH gear and generally like the brand but that first pack, the Hueco, looks horrible. WTF is up with the reversed lid? On the second, the key question is how important is waterproofing to you? You can get a lot of good 30L craig packs in that price range.

Rock and Snow has 20% off a bunch of items. Ends today. I bought a couple local guidebooks. In my experience they are harder to find at a sale price FWIW

Doesn’t include Totems and they’re not carrying the Basics anymore :/.  Maybe due to the recall?

https://www.backcountrygear.com coupon code OCTOBER20 for 20% off one item works on Five Ten shoes!

Update: I bought a pair of Quantums and was informed they are backordered with an ETA in 6 weeks, just FYI...

The reversed top makes some sense to me. Your partner can open it while you're wearing it and not have to hold it open against the back of your head.

Spend $300 or More, Get $60 Off At SteepandCheap With Code: GET60

I'm sure that was their logic, but it's like suicide doors on a car. Great in theory, impractical in real world use.
