1) I would like to sleep in car while it is parked in a regular parking lot.
I.e. I want to sleep comfortably in car and not pay campsite fees.

2) What is the best way to stay in Yosemite Valley for a month or two, with out getting kicked out?

Thanks

Drive outside of the park boundary and find a spot on the road.

Law enforcement in Yosemite has a whole lot of time on their hands . More so in the off season. You might be able to get away with a night in the car here and there, but chances are you will get caught quickly . And if you get caught sleeping in your rig with improperly stored food inside there with you , a hefty ticket could also be coming your way .

Best advice would be to sleep outside the park on a nightly basis , it's a minor inconvenience ... if you do insist on sleeping in your car in the park , don't stay in the same spot night after night , that for sure will leave you with a flashlight in your face and the familiar tap tap tap on the window ...

Also, in case it isn't obvious, asking for advice on how to break the law, on a public forum, is a pretty sure-fire way to bring negative attention to the community.

I understand that paying for stuff is pretty frowned-upon by a lot of Valley regulars, so perhaps your better question is to ask for general dirtbagging tips out in the open, and request PMs for Yosemite specific beta.

You should kill this thread because of your duplicate, which is getting most of the responses. Or change the title of this to indicate it is not needed.

I got away with it for one night and then got in line early for camp 4. I consider it quite an accomplishment because I had to find a perfect place to park (not telling) and then make my camper van not look like it was being camped in.

A month? Not going to happen.

Q: What is the best way to stay in Yosemite Valley for a month or two, with out getting kicked out?

A: Sleep in car while it is parked in a regular parking lot there by getting ticketed. Then fail to pay said ticket and end up in the Yosemite Valley Jail.
