Anyone in the Denver area know of a good gear repair shop? I have a sleeping pad that is losing air and a sleeping bag with a broken zipper. If I wasn't rushed to catch a flight next week and didn't have 5 final exams to prepare for I would try fixing these myself. But at this point it would be nice to know of a gear repair shop that won't rip me off and get the gear back to working order in a timely manner. Let me know if you guys know of a shop or handy person who could hook it up.
The two places I know are usually a few weeks out in turnaround time so if you need these done by next week you are probably SOL.
Sleeping pads can be fixed with a flat bike tube repair kit or a pad patch kit. Blow up the pad, fill a tub with water and push the pad around underwater to find the leak, circle the leak with a pen and slap on the patch. If it's a small leak a few dabs of super glue or seal seam can work instead of a patch kit.
Your best bet for the zipper repair is to call around to some local alteration shops, most have one day service and zipper repair is cheap.
