Public transport to Red River Gorge

Is there any way to get from the Red to Lexington or Louisville by public transport?

What about getting along in the area without a car and a partner?

Once you make it to Miguel's you'll have no problem finding people to climb with, getting there might be your biggest challenge depending on where you are trying to hitch a ride from.

My name is Noah Havlik and I'm the owner operator of the Red River Gorge Shuttle. A new local Kentucky business that's transporting passengers from Louisville and Lexington, to, from, as well as within the Red River Gorge. I'm afraid we're over 10 years too late to service your inquiry, but potentially future people in need of transit may find this. We do day trips on Saturdays and Sundays with stops including Miguels Pizza, Natural Bridge State Park, PMRP, Muir Valley, and select North Gorge trail heads. We also do same day pickups and drop offs at Miguel's and other en route campgrounds per our schedule so it's possible to get around locally if you're already in the area.
