Inner Wrist Tattoo?
|
Hey, all! |
|
As long as it isn't ICP related, I think you'll be fine. |
|
Over time it will cause the ink to look faded or blotchy. How quickly it happens will depend on severity and frequency of the abrasions. You can either plan get it touched up soon rather than later, and/or maybe put a layer of tape over it. |
|
Even after you've long grown tired of your tattoo, the quote, and your college learnings, that f*cker will remain legible and clear unless you seriously gash yourself. Choose wisely, then be prepared to hate it anyway in 5 years or so. |

I have hand tattoos and have cut my hand up pretty good jamming its never been an issue.... |

Dear Alden, |

Go to a library, pick up a Bible, open it at a a random page and copy the first 2 line quote that you see. Make sure you include the reference with the passage number and all. I think it's all the rage in Hollywood right now. And no it will not fade and as long as you put moisturizer on it and don't get like poison oak on that spot. If it fades a little bit and has small imperfections it will look way cooler in time. Make sure you go to a legit place and keep it simple, no colors just black. The letters do tend to smudge in time so keep it well spaced out and clear. |

I'm betting its going to say "YOLO" |
|
Alden.....no offense, but why not put the tattoo across your buttock. Seems like it would have greater contrast and never be marred by climbing related scratches. Just a thought, but makes more sense then all that worrying about the issues of having it on your forearm. This could encompass your gluteus maximus, gluteus medius, gluteus minimus, and if more canvas is needed even your tensor fasciae latae. |

Jeff J wrote:I'm betting its going to say "YOLO"Well, it was initially going to be a test for a future medical tattoo I'm considering, which will detail a serious medical condition I have, in the event that there is an accident and I can't explain it myself. But then I saw Andrew's masterpiece, and realized that I absolutely need that somewhere on my body. Maybe I'll take the suggestion and put it on my butt? ... Anyway, thanks to those of you who have given helpful answers, and thanks to those of you who have provided a chuckle. |

Andrew, |

Bad idea to put medical info on wrist. No one will look or bother to read it in an emergency. Instead carry a medicard with you in your wallet or tattoo something on your chest. In typed letters that starts with something like : To all emergency personnel: |

Have you considered putting a tatt in an easily concealed place instead? If you move on to a professional life some employers are very Leary of showing tattoos at the workplace. |
