Heading out tomorrow and just looking at what the options are. Any input about the area would be great.

We camped out at the campground across the street from Shannon Falls. Most of the tent sites are pretty well shielded from each other using the topography or foliage, we got a site down the hill that was nearer to the water. No complaints, they had laundry facilities too.

We found that Sushi Sen was fantastic - cheap prices and way good stuff. We went twice during the week we were there, we found it so fine. If you like sushi, that is. Seemed so damn fresh, and I guess it is, being there on the cold coast.

We thought that the Chief campground was good.

There is a health club in town (sorry, don't know the name of it) that had showers. We had to go there because they were doing the annual cleaning of the town athletic center up the road a bit. That looked like a super nice facility, but like I said was temporarily closed.

We liked the Campfire Grill for barbecue quite a bit.

There's a greasy spoon diner at Cleveland and Pemberton that was good basic diner stuff, opens early, pretty good prices.

Have fun!

The provincial park campground at the base of the Chief should have room this weekend. But if you want to step it up a bit, I would suggest the new Wonderland Valley campground, (named after a mtn bike trail at the back of the property). The place even has a few nice boulders. Food-wise, lot's of good choices like the ones mentioned above. To add to the list, Mags99 for cheap but very good burritos, tacos and all G free. Zephyrs downtown has got it covered for healthy good food and nice vibe.
