Who know current conditions in CR? Is it possible to climb or too wet

I wanted to climb there this weekend, but I decided I shouldn't since it's been raining all day and that park is soft sandstone. The general protocol for Castle Rock is to not climb there for a few days after a rain. It's also been cold, which means the rock won't dry out quickly. I'd climb somewhere else. Mt. Tam isn't sandstone. Also, I think there are a bunch of climbers going to CR this weekend to pick up trash and clean up.

yep, it was wet, but we did few problems. First half of a day was really wet, but second was not so bad

Nika, you need to understand that you should not be climbing there after rain. We are not worried about your safety and enjoyment of the wet rock - we are worried about the damage you will do when you pull off a hold on a classic problem. Sandstone gets brittle when wet, and holds snap off. Please take good advice when it is given to you. Youthful enthusiasm is fine, but please learn to listen and listen to learn.
