The North Face Makalu Insulated Pant

Does anyone has any experience with these pants from The North Face?

Are they warm?

I thought I'd get a pair on sale for ice climbing? They look decent - usual North Face quality and reputation for a mere $159.

I have the jacket and like it, although I haven't really tested it. Nice piece. Where are you finding them for 159? I've been looking for a pair.

If they're like the jacket, they're way too warm to be moving in unless its super cold or you run way cold. These are more of belay layers or winter mountaineering layers.

Prob will be perfect for me b/c I am pretty lean with less than 20% body fat and get cold fairly easily....
