I'm new to the front range and would love to hear any recommendations for canyoneering trips in the state. I realize that this may not be the ideal place to post this, but I was hoping someone had a few recommendations to get me started planning. |

There are some pretty rad-but-cold-looking wet canyons around Ouray (more here). |

Go to Utah for canyoneering |

Check out bogley.com or canyoncollective.com - you'll have better luck there. |

Ouray! Lower Angel Creek Middle Oak Creek Your best bet for canyoneering (or should I say canyoning) in Colorado is definitely Ouray. Everything from easy cruises to all day adventures. There are many canyons to keep you busy for a week straight, and if you get done early there's fun climbing to fill up the afternoon. And if you're feeling really adventurous, I happened across a TR of a winter descent of Bear Creek a few years back, so it's doable but probably pretty tough. |

For what its worth, A lot of canyoneering in Utah is closer than Ouray. |

Thanks, Eric! |
