Beta on Devil's Punchbowl in Colorado?
|
I just read an article on US psicobloc locations, and I'm interested in checking out the Devil's Punchbowl at Independence Pass. Does anyone know of a place to find information on the approximate difficulty of the different climbs? I tried searching on MP.com and couldn't find anything... |

Devils punchbowl is good for cliff diving and not much else this time of year. The route listed here as Aquaman was a pile. The best DWS in my opinion in the area is called Welcome to the Wonderful World of Entertainment...its not listed on the MP database but you can find a video for it on Vimeo. If you drive down the lincoln creek road for about 3 miles you will come to this sweet punchbowl where the route is found. It is definitely a 4wd road so be prepared for that. |

There is a route here listed as Aquaman and the water was too high a few weeks ago to get onto the route. Maybe it gets better as the water level goes down. I personally think the route at Lincoln Creek was much better quality than anything at the punchbowls. |
