I hobbled my way over to the annex brought to us by Rock and Snow today. A consignment/wholesale/donation house for hiking, climbing, camping, ice, and clothing. Great deals as well as a friendly atmosphere abound. Everything from almost brand new la sportivas in everysize, mountaineering, to the lastest fashion on and off rock of 5.10s. Packs, nuts, cams, torches, and ever crampons mounted the walls like great trophies hunters have collected. Prices descent, and bargains around. A consignment aswell as casual stop before the classics of the shawangunk ridge. Located almost directly behind Rock and Snow
Definetly a stop for anyone interested in a good deal!!

My problem is that any time I go in there, I end up buying something out of my consigner credit. So much for saving up for a new rope!
I feel for you Kathy,,,,that's a problem for all of us gear freak traddies who visit the Gunks,,we can never shop and NOT find a great deal in gear or something we THINK we can't live without and thus, the bonus points and credit earnings all get used up before we know it. Rainy day spent at Rock and Snow means I lose money for sure/;-( such is the life of a climber...
takes alot to buy climbing gear, sacrifice is all i can tell you. and if you doubt think of what else you'd be doing half way up the crag or midway thru the 3rd pitch. I cut things "like a scalpel" everyday, - mark twight
