Custom Shoe stretch
|
Anyone know of a way to stretch the toe box of a Muira, my girlfriend just got a new pair (they have been broken in by now) and one of her toe is killing her in one shoe..... |

I bought those old fashioned 'shoe tree's, the spring loaded insert that does stretch a shoe. I got probably half or more an inch out of it. Got them wet, then inserted and let them sit for days. Wore them around house, redo stretch again. Took me over a week but shoes fit lovely now, best fit shoe I've ever worn.( a 5.10 shoe) |

set your oven on its lowest setting. "bake" those shoes at 150 degrees for 10-15 minutes. then have her put them on and wear them till they are back to room temp. about 30 minutes or so. this will help to form them to her foot. I have done it a couple of times, no effect to rand, rubber or glue. works every time. |

Ideas above are ok. But if you want the real deal: |

I used Woodchuck's method but, not having a shoe tree, instead jammed a wooden kitchen spoon into the toe box and torqued it over the hot spot. Way ghetto, but it worked really well. |

My feet are two different sizes so I found some shoe stretchers on sale at STP a few years back for around 20-30 bucks. they work great and can widen the toe box and/or lengthen the shoe. |

Empty beer bottles (rinsed out members of my collection) worked well on one pair of my shoes; bottom of the bottle in the toe box top in the heel. I used long trail bottles, for smaller shoes maybe try Sierra Nevada or woodchuck cider bottles. I left the bottles in there for about a week. |

Locker wrote:"Anyone know of a way to stretch the toe box of a Muira". Anything up to size 13 and jamming my "Johnson" in it for five minutes usually does the trick.I can only imagine but I prefer not too |

Just kept adjusting the holes to push it out further each day or so. Easily got over half an inch out of them. |

20-30 bucks for less pain on every pair of shoes I horde was a sweet investment, too bad they dont work for the womans size small |

Toe box stretcher made to provide more space in the toe box area of shoes by stretching the leather up instead of out. Actually what type of stretcher you want to use, this is depends on your shoe material and quality. Check this site out, hope your problem be solved. |

The only one I found was the "Footsmart Cedar Shoe Stretcher," for $12.95. Is that the same thing? I got a pair of Blackwings in my street size (largest they make) and the right one is still too tight because my 2nd/3rd toes are freakishly long. |
