Salewa Condor EVO GTX Mountaineering boots: thoughts?

Does anyone have experience with these boots?

They say these are designed for light mountaineering, trekking and backpacking. I cant get a good idea about how stiff they are and how they might perform on some occasional easy ice and mixed stuff.

I know there is no ideal "all around mountaineering boot", but I am trying to find a happy medium here.

Any thoughts in general?

I don't have experience with this particular model. But I own the Salewa Raven Combi (which is very close to the Condor Evo). They are warm and good fit for me. They keep my feet dry besides the moisture from my own sweat. I have used it for snow climb, winter mountaineering, winter trekking in deep snow.

Regarding about the stiffness, IMO, I would not recommend using the Raven Combi for ice climbing (Which is pretty much the same response for most 3/4 boots). The Raven use the same Vibram® Mulaz outsole as the La Sportiva Trango Evo S but the Raven has a larger toebox than the Trango S. However, the Condor Evo is using the Vibram Teton, so that may make it a bit stiffer.

To be honest, I think one can't go wrong with Salewa boots. Also they have the blister free policy. IF you get blister from the boots, they will refund you.
