Scarpa Phantom Guide approach binding?

Yo MP,

I'm looking to outfit skis with ice boot compatible bindings for backcountry approaches. Anybody have ideas?

Have you tried to ski on ice boots? If not GOOD LUCK! Haha..

how is splitboarding a better option than skiing for approaches?

Silvretta bindings are your only real option. Act quick because they aren't made anymore and they are/will be harder to find very soon.

These are a bit heavier than other more modern options, but I've found them on ebay for $25 and turned some others on to them over the years.

The expensive but lighter option is dyna tlt5 boots and dyna bindings. U will save 2lbs or more over a silvy set up and you will be able to ski to boot. And a according to cold thistle they climb pretty well too.
