Yo MP, I'm looking to outfit skis with ice boot compatible bindings for backcountry approaches. Anybody have ideas?
Silveretta.
+1 on Silveretta. Have you tried to ski on ice boots? If not GOOD LUCK! Haha.. one word "splitboard"
how is splitboarding a better option than skiing for approaches? Silvretta bindings are your only real option. Act quick because they aren't made anymore and they are/will be harder to find very soon.
The expensive but lighter option is dyna tlt5 boots and dyna bindings. U will save 2lbs or more over a silvy set up and you will be able to ski to boot. And a according to cold thistle they climb pretty well too.
