I am considering a job in ?Sierra vista, is there any climbing near by??
It looks like it is a two hour jaunt to the cochise stronghold. any close crags near town for the occasional afternoon session?

I think its more like a 20 or 30 minute jaunt to Cochise. The Dry is close by also. Other climbing areas near by but I know them. I heard the Mustang is cool and near Sierra Vista. The top of Mt Lemmon might be closer to that two hour drive, the base of Lemmon in less time with lots of crags all the way up it. Other areas around Tucson too

20 minutes to the start of West Cochise, maybe an hour to east Cochise. The Dry is probably at 30 minutes. I've never gone to the Mustang from that side.

I have been living in Sierra Vista for 4 years and there is plenty of climbing around the area. Like already mentioned, you have the Dry, the Mustangs, Cochise East and West, and other locations around the area. The climbing community is small but is growing slowly. I live in SV so you can contact me anytime. My email is mangual43@gmail.com
