Can any one share where i can find free camping in Burlington? do they have the same rule as the adirondacks where i can camp anywhere 150' from the road/water source?
The 150' rule you are talking about only applies to area inside the state controlled Adirondack Park. However, Burlington is not a preserve, it is a small city and camping in it is as difficult as camping in any small city. That being said there are places that you can "get away" with camping but no where I know of that has free legal camping. If you want to talk more send me a message.
You can camp in the Green Mountains, below 2,500 feet. There are set backs from trails and water (not sure of the exact numbers, but you can probably find it on the web). If you mean free camping in the city itself, there isn't any.
Don't wanna pay the ridiculous hotel prices for the Noreaster? I blew up four bills for two days. But theres a hot tub and continental breakfast,so I got that going for me.
